memories, made to keep.

what matters most

I have loved art and creating for as long as I can remember. Painting, clay, jewelry making, cooking, decorating, even refinishing a furniture find--I have tried and loved a lot of different mediums. If there's a way to create something new and make something beautiful, I want to try it.
I think God made me this way on purpose. He was the first creator, and in creating, I am able to bring Him glory.
A book I love called "Called to Create" by Jordan Raynor put into words something I have long felt about creating, but have never been able to verbalize myself. Raynor writes "After working six days, God left the earth largely undeveloped and uncultivated. He created a canvas and then invited us to join him in filling it." Reading this confirmed the feeling in me I've long had that I am meant to create something, that the calling to make art is God-given, and that it has purpose.
Capturing your memories is how I help God fill his canvas. Your memories are special. They are uniquely yours. Your tears as you walk down the aisle. Your mother's hands as she zips up your wedding dress, after so many years of dressing you, getting you ready for what may be the last time. Your children's giggles and their tiny hands wrapping around your finger. The way your grandparents smile at one another.
My goal is to bring a calming presence so that you can be yourself. I want you to feel comfortable in front of my camera so I can help you preserve the memories of your most loved people and most cherished days.
